Aro Arataki is an Auckland childcare centre for infants, toddlers and preschool children, with work friendly opening hours, nutritious daily meals and community focused values based education and care.
Hours
Aro Arataki is open weekdays – Monday to Friday from 6.30 am to 5.30 pm with the exception of public holidays and Christmas / New Year closure.
Fees
Fees charged to parents are on a per day basis and are inclusive. This means that there is no direct charge for public holidays, or days the centre may close. Children may be enrolled for up to 9 hours per day.
From 1 January:
Daily Fee (ADHB STAFF) for child under 3 years is $76.50
Daily Fee (ADHB STAFF) for child over 3 years is $56.50
Non-ADHB staff may apply to have their children attend at a higher rate that does not have the ADHB subsidy applied.
20 Hours ECE
Children over the age of 3 years may be funded under the 20 hours ECE subsidy scheme provided attestation is received from parents.
Payment
Payment is by automatic payment or internet banking . Cash/cheque payments are not accepted.
Late Fee
Our license ceases at 5.30 pm sharp daily. Children may not attend after this time. To dissuade repetitive late pick-ups a late fee is charged.
Payment for Holidays and Sickness
Full payment is required for all absences including sickness. For planned holidays, provided two weeks written notice is given, a holding fee of 50% will be charged for up to six week. Longer absences must be discussed with centre management.

Meals
Breakfast Club – Breakfast is provided free of charge for children whose drop off parent is required to do an early shift. Breakfast is held in the Kea Room from 6.30 am to 7.30 am. This is a simple breakfast of cereal with milk and toast with spreads. The breakfast trolley is removed by 7.30 am sharp and the days programme begins.
We take pride in providing our tamariki with delicious, nutritious meals that support their growth and development, in line with the Healthy Heart Foundation guidelines. Our menu is carefully crafted by our skilled chef, to offer wholesome, minimally processed foods, with all meals and drinks provided by the centre. If your child has any food allergies, please let us know so we can note them in the kitchen and take extra care to avoid allergens.
