Kiwi Room is the space for infants and toddlers 6 months to 20 months old, and accommodates 15-20 infants and toddlers.
Kiwi Room is the little centre set apart for our youngest citizens who begin their journey at Aro Arataki in this spacious gentle space.
At any time from 6 months of age onwards, babies are able arrive for orientation with a parent or family member. They come to know our teachers, the other children, and the indoor and outdoor learning environments. The indoor and outdoor spaces are tailor made for babies and young toddlers.
These are places for little feet and hands, for crawling, climbing, sitting, standing, and learning to walk in. These are spaces to explore many things for the very first time. Listening, tasting, touching, smelling, seeing, sensing.
These are times to learn how to form relationships with people outside the family circle, to be known and to know.
These are joyful times as our youngest community members grow into themselves – present in the moment, and full of awe and wonder.
