There is a lot we love about Aro Arataki! The teachers are amazing.  Seeing how much they care for the kids is so special. As a working mum, I sometimes feel guilty about not being with James, but knowing how much James enjoys day care and time spent with his teachers makes me feel at peace. Also, raising a kid definitely takes a village and we (my husband and I) consider Aro Arataki apart of our village.

The communication from the centre and the teachers is fantastic. James’s teachers keep me frequently up to date with his progress. Also the communication from yourself and Lynn is great especially with Story Park.  We think Aro Arataki is an excellent day care and we highly recommend it.

The thing that I love most about Aro Arataki is that the teachers in Kiwi Room are welcoming and friendly when we drop our child off. They update us on our child's daily routines.  Thank you for the amazing work you all do in our children's learning stages. I appreciate the genuine ongoing input.

The centre does a good job in my opinion. I've had two children go through Aro Arataki after previous ones (and an older child who attended a different place). The most important aspect is the staff - and I find them all excellent.

With Aro Arataki’s curriculum, enabling our tamariki to go out of the centre to visit the park nearby it gives my son such excitement with loads of storytelling to tell me about what he saw in the park and what they did."

A truly caring and supportive centre that really gets to know the interests of your child and provides plenty of opportunities for them to explore and develop.

Both children of mine attend the centre. It is a nurturing environment that fosters discovery based learning; respect and flourishing of cultures; a varied outdoor environment that promotes a safe but necessary level of risk based play (not molly coddled); staff that incorporate and encourage of academic based approaches and parental precipitation; staff that promote reinforcement of teachings at home and the centre; nutritious and tasty food for the kids; convenient location.

My kids often ask to go to day care on the weekends.

Special mention to my Kids' favourite teachers: Daniel, Howard, Peggy, Ismat, Jessie, Bryan, Janet, Karthika, Ashika, Dan and Masa. Also Ellie and Lynn for supporting the team.

Aro Arataki daycare is a fantastic early learning center going above and beyond and creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children. Fabulous place, vibe and teachers. Can't recommend enough, shout out to Lisa, Jessie, Ashika, Dan, Ali, Howard, Brian, Masa, Tusili, Ismat, Maria, Peggy and all the rest (sorry if I forgot you!). I'm so proud of the job they're doing shaping our children.

They have crazy good ideas on how to engage and teach the kids, it's spotlessly clean, the kai is nutritious, the people are nice EVERYDAY (even though it's clearly exhausting work looking after little ones).

We cannot speak highly enough about this incredible childcare centre! Our three children have attended this wonderful centre and one is now at primary school. The team goes above and beyond to create a nurturing and enriching environment for the children. They provide endless opportunities for exploration, and fostering a love of learning. One of the highlights is their regular excursions to Cornwall Park and Maungakiekie (One Tree Hill) where the children have the opportunity to engage with nature, explore the local area, and develop important social and emotional skills in real-world settings.

What truly sets this centre apart is the incredible support they offer not only to the children but also to parents. We are so grateful to all the wonderful staff and teachers and couldn’t ask for a better place for our children to learn and develop. Aro Arataki is truly a gem!

Can’t recommend it more. My family’s experience with our two kids going there has been nothing but great. The teachers are simply amazing and so engaging with the kids. The communication and cooperation between the staff and parents is also very good and open. We moved here from Iceland in the beginning of 2024 and our kids didn’t speak English at that time (then 2yo & 4yo), but it only took them a couple of months to learn the language and be able to communicate.

Aro Arataki has been the best possible environment we could have imagined for our child. The whole team are caring at every level and go the extra mile to support children to feel safe and develop their own sense of confidence. Would recommend this learning centre to anyone!

Aro Arataki has a welcoming and warm environment. The teachers overall are amazing and have such genuine relationships wirh the children. Being next to Cornwall park is an added bonus, as the kids really enjoy their adventures there!

Wonderful teachers that go above and beyond for the children ensuring they have diverse, exciting, and educational activities for the children.

The best childcare I could have enrolled my kids to, teachers are consistently amazing and caring, the centre is really clean. I love the way one teacher is assigned to your child. In our case Jenny has developed the best relationship with our daughter and we are very grateful for this.
